Prothane Tubing

Prothane II tubing is abrasion resistant, translucent blue flexible tubing

Prothane II Tubing

Prothane II tubing is exclusively manufactured by Randolph Austin and is frequently referred to as “the Blue Tubing”. Prothane offers our customers a more robust and abrasion resistant alternative to traditional plastics and elastomers (rubber / vinyl / TPV / silicone / chloroprene / EVA / nylon / latex tubing). Thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPU) are an engineered material with superior properties when compared to vinyl-based materials. Prothane is manufactured using a blended TPU. Randolph Austin carefully selected the raw materials based on internal testing and blended them on-site to maximize performance within a peristaltic pump application.

When tested for longevity with most mild chemicals, Prothane outperforms competitors in a peristaltic pump application test. Prothane is a rugged material designed to handle constant compression and decompression cycles while remaining resilient. The Blue Tube’s abrasion resistance makes it ideal for industrial peristaltic tubing applications demanding a superior lifespan in aggressive environments. It is compounded to resist UV and has a working temperature range of up to 140°F inside the pump.  From deserts to arctic environments, our pumps and tubing have provided service for our customers in the harshest conditions.

Prothane has proven to be the right choice for many peristaltic pump applications. Applications include (but are not limited to) use with diesel fuel, kerosene, motor oil, mild solvents, aromatic hydrocarbons, gasoline, concentrated acid / alkaline solutions, printing inks, inorganics, low solvent concentration slurries, sapsucker pumps, hydroponic systems, detergent (laundry and dishwashing) dosing systems, pulp and paper plants, lubrication pumps, chemical treatment, sewage sludge, flexographic, calcium reactors, wastewater, media dispensers, and with naval/ocean/brine.

Intended for industrial markets, Prothane is RoHS and REACH compliant.

Randolph Austin has been producing tubing products that are amongst the most durable in the market since the 1970s. All Randolph Austin tubing is manufactured in United States of America.  Prothane is another great option designed by Randolph Austin and is part of a proven track record spanning multiple decades.
